
The governing body of the City of Timmins is City Council. It consists of the Mayor and Councillors from each of the City’s five wards. Members of Council are elected by residents to a four-year term of office.
The City of Timmins is represented provincial by a Member of Provincial Parliament in the newly formed riding of Timmins. The Member of Provincial Parliament for the Timmins riding is Gilles Bisson.
The City of Timmins is represented federally by a Member of Parliament in the riding of Timmins-James Bay. The Member of Parliament for the Timmins-James Bay riding is Charlie Angus.
