TIMMINS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION INVESTS IN NEW DEMOGRAPHIC DATA SOFTWARE

TIMMINS, ON:  The Timmins Economic Development Corporation (TEDC) has recently invested in the PCensus-Canada Desktop Demographic Software in order to help entrepreneurs and community organizations better understand the local market.  Market research is a very important component to running a successful business and the TEDC is providing this software free of charge to anyone who wishes to take advantage of it.

This software will allow users to compare and analyze demographic and expenditure data between different Canadian cities.  It will also allow users to dig deeper into the data to analyze the spending habits of specific demographics. 

Would you like to know if the average household in Timmins spends more at restaurants than the average household in North Bay?  Or what percentage of their total expenditures is spent at restaurants?  Now, the TEDC can provide these statistics.

The PCensus Software can also go beyond political boundaries to provide you with the necessary data to make informed choices for your business or organization.  Users can pinpoint their organization and request data from constituents within an hour (or five hour) drive.  Users can also choose to focus on information of residents living within a certain distance of their location.  Finally, not all square pegs fit in round holes; therefore, users can also create their own boundaries (ex. Mountjoy Area) in order to obtain the data desired.

Once the necessary data is obtained, it can then be exported into easy to read Microsoft Excel spreadsheets or it can be exported in a report format to Microsoft Word.
