
At the west end of Timmins you’ll find large retail outlets such as Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Future Shop, Wal Mart, Home Depot. You will also find the Timmins Square, one of the largest shopping malls in Northeastern Ontario, and home to over 70 shops and service providers, popular fashion outlets, home furnishings, and electronics stores.
The 101 Mall is centrally located multi-use shopping centre boasting both retail and service–oriented tenants. Parking is available for 100 vehicles on site and there are 1,000 more parking spaces within three minutes! The 101 Mall is also in the immediate vicinity of the downtown core of Timmins, to the main city transit terminal, CityHall, the Public Library, and the Timmins Police Service.
The Porcupine Mall is nestled between the communities of Porcupine and South Porcupine on the west side of Highway 101 in the east end of the Timmins. The mall is home to a grocery store, Giant Tiger, a financial institution, a dollar store, and several other shops and services.
Timmins has not just one downtown, but three! Timmins’ City Centre, as well as the hamlets of South Porcupine and Schumacher, offer many options for services and stores.
The Downtown Timmins BIA is vibrant shopping area in the centre of the community and boasts a mix of around 250 businesses. The area is home to cafes and restaurants, clothing boutiques, unique giftware, fine furniture, and a host of other providers of consumer goods. Major financial institutions, insurance companies, government buildings, and professional organizations are also situated in the City Centre and in the summer months, the area becomes an urban park filled with great music, merchants, fabulous food, and the Farmers’ Market.
