The education system in Timmins is distinguished by a willingness to provide individualized instruction.  Schools have adapted their programs to meet the needs of this community, while maintaining strict adherence to government standards.

The City of Timmins is home to four regional school boards, including the Catholic and Public School Boards, which are divided by French and English language services.  All four boards employ experienced professionals who deliver quality education to students as they prepare for the future.

Many schools feature trade-oriented technology and business courses, as well as co-operative education programs.  The secondary schools support a broad range of art and athletic programs that enhance each student's overall experience.
